Dev Pathik
Dev is a nationally recognized thought leader and social entrepreneur. Dev led the launch and sale of more than 7 companies including a 10-acre Corporate Leadership Development Center, An Adventure/Eco Tourism Operation, Multiple Consulting firms, and the largest sport and recreation planning and management company in the U.S.
Today he serves as advisor, board member, and investor to numerous companies in the tourism, housing, hotel, and destination backed real estate.
Dev began his career as a climbing guide, Outward Bound Instructor, and Program Manager for Outward Bound Corporate Training. In 1996, Pathik launched a 10-acre leadership development center at the Westin Innisbrook Resort. He then oversaw the opening of more than 40 leadership development centers across the U.S. before successfully selling these early firms.
In 2003, Pathik founded the Sports Facilities Companies (SFC) at his dining room table. Pathik led SFC from 2003-2023 as CEO of its planning and Advisory business and SFC’s national thought leader and spokesperson. Dev successfully transitioned to a board seat for SFC in 2022. SFC is now the nation's largest sports and recreation development and operations company, having led many billions in public and private partnerships. Today SFC employs more than 3,000 team members and operates venues hosting 50 million + visits annually.
Pathik serves as a board member, investor, and partner in numerous destination development entities, including the Sports Illustrated Resorts.
Pathik's 2017 TED Talk is one of his many media appearances. He has also been a featured guest on HBO’s Real Sports, NBC's TODAY Show, CNBC, PBS, Wall Street Market Watch, and hundreds of other publications.
His vision and leadership have been credited to a wide array of tourism attractions, mixed-use developments, and public-private partnerships that transform outcomes for millions across the U.S.
